A collection of paintings drawing on a combination of Persian and Indian traditional miniature painting techniques, and the natural world. The paper is carefully prepared through staining, sizing and burnishing, which produces a smooth and shiny surface. A wide variety of of watercolours paints are used with a focus on natural mineral pigments, including those derived from semi-precious stones such a lapis lazuli, garnet, amethyst, malachite etc., as well as hand made genuine shell gold.
