Angie Bell, owner and colour alchemist behind Harvest Moon Watercolours, single handedly makes each paint from her home just outside of Cape Town. Her paints look akin to powdered beetles and butterfly wings, and yet they are 100% vegan and ethically sourced. They are a product of genuine love and passion – a quality tangibly felt within every colour.

Each of my paintings are done on Fabriano watercolour paper that has been carefully prepared in alignment with the ancient miniature painting tradition. The first few layers of painting are done with regular watercolours after which the pearlescent pigments are applied.
